Black colour with a light brown head. Light roasted, vinous, fruity aroma with notes of chocolate and wood. Malty, fruity flavor with vinous notes and hints of wood and alcohol. Superb beer!

Traded with Mikkel for a bottle of this which disappeared on its way to me thanks to USPS - so this one came from my buddy Forgetfu via a trade with a Danish pal at CBC. Grazie senor Bill! Pitch black with virtually no head. Aromas of raisins, apples and cherries. Mild carbonation though fairly still overall. Initial flavors are dark fruits mixed with dark cocoa, followed by a distinct port wine and fig flavor, ending with a mineral ashen flavor with strong oaky notes. As it warmed, it added a brandy sweetness.... Complex as hell for sure....Oily rich mouthfeel and a lingering aftertaste. I can see what the fuss is all about.... glad I got to finally try it

Big thanks to Phredrik for this! Pours black with no head. Aroma is apple vinegar up front along with some cherry notes, vanilla, oaky notes, burned malts, blueberry, blackberries, black currants, some alcohol is present, candy like sweetness, concentrated medicine and the characteristic impy stout notes behind. Very interesting smell. Taste is alot more heavy on the burned side. Some salmiak, sugar, vanilla, burned malts, kinda ashy, dark sweet fruits, some apple cider is still present along with the woody feel. Has that Black/black hole sweetness and extremeness to it. I really love the smell on this!

Bottle that i got from henrikb - thanks a lot!!! Pours jet fucken black with no head. Aroma is so so fruity! Raspberries, blackberries, black currants, sweet liquorice, cherry chocolates (Mont Cheri), port notes and ripe dried fruits, very sweet red apples from the Calvados. Aroma is nothing like what I had imagined, but I love the fruitiness. Taste is heavily sweet and deifinitely more malty and roasted chocolate feeling. Lots of fruitiness still, black currant jam, raspberries, a bit of apple notes and some Calvados-like astringent which makes a bit of balance, but all over thos berr is very very sweet but also very very complex! Luckily I like sweet beers, but some people would call this diabeetus hell. Fucken hell, I mind this.

Bottle, thanks phredrik! pours pitch black with no head. beautiful lacings, Aroma: very dense and intense. the calvados is present, apples, black berries, raspberries, blue berries, cherries, black currants, deep fruity, some sharpie, dusty, concentrated fuit aroma, liquorice, ripe dark berries, roasted, some coffee, woody, tart, musty, earthy, faint cardboard, basement, cough syrup, slight minerally, salty, the stout aspect is very diminished. not very alcohol in the nose considering the ABV. Taste: very smooth, oily, thick, quite heavy, quite sweet, liquorice, sweet malty, roasted notes, dried fruits, plums, figs, calvados, vanilla, cough drops, light grassy, ashy, sugary, minerally, this reminds me a lot of black hole and black, the sweetness and maltyness anyway,

375mL super whale dong tick thanks to phredrik. Thanks mate even if you're on Team Unge. Deep ink pour. Small Martian red bubbles. No head formation really. Richer sweet nose with some calvados fruitiness and spicy heat. Moves to thick spicy sausage and meat. Nice aroma. Taste is sticky and thick with a long, encompassing palate. Very thick and oily with some powerful booze piling on and mild ashy char. Mild cigarette. Very long, bitter, charred finish. A lot of ash and mild paper are off putting. Super thick palate is interspersed with typical off characters seen in Mikkeller Black Hole and black (Hei) which the malt combo is too ashy, dirty, and lingering. Booze is very presence. Instant buzz after a few meager sips. Nose is quite nice. Body really isn't a big departure from Mikkel's other mega abv stouts. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

(Draught) Pours very black. The aroma is dusty and sweetish (almost nectar sweet) with notes of wood, woodshop, sawdust, apples, vanilla, coffee roast, dark sugar, leather, suede, subtle dark dried fruits and berries. Lots of liquorice. The flavour is heavily sweet and medium to heavily roasted with notes of liquorice, coffee, chocolate, berries and dark sugar/molasses. Clear alcohol tones. The mouthfeel is sticky and full. Lingering sugary sweet aftertaste. Full bodied. Too sweet.

37.5 cl bottle. Dark brown with faint tan wisps. Nose is caramel, dark chocolate, rubber and applejack. Not quite thick but still syrupy; lightened by a vibrant tang. Taste is chocolate, carob, rum raisin, graham crackers and apple brandy. Overall very sweet; random citrus zest and dark roast. Strong barrel influence really works here. Delicious and unique.

Thanks to Alex for this bottle... dark black, no carbonation... smells great, chocolate covered orange liquor... the taste is super roasty, awesome at first, but then it gets a touch to tough to drink, lots of roast, liquid orange, a bit generic, super tough to drink, but good
