750ml bottle generously shared by Doug, thanks!
Appearance: Thick black (oil) with a small dark tan head, good lacing and a black coating left on the insides of the glass
Aroma: Roasted malts, dark chocolate, molasses and dark coffee
Taste: Thick mouth feel of dark roasted malts, dark chocolate, vanilla, dark fruit, leather and some hot alcohols
Holy shit this was awesome. Grabbed me an extra glass and just sipped this all night while drinking other beers.

FROTHINGSLOSH (4547) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 30, 2014
From the March 2014 Pittsburgh Ratebeer gathering. +++ Sampled from a 750 ml brown bottle this beer poured thick, black and oily with a large foamy incredibly dark brown head that lingered forever and left good lacing. The aroma was sweet and malty with notes of sugar, anise and chocolate. The flavor was chocolate, malty, anise and port wine. It really sticks to your mouth and refuses to leave. Amazingly long finish. Booziness is present but hell the beer is 26% so it was reasonably controlled all things considered. Thick, full and creamy body. Some chunks towards the end. Really interesting.

Batch 1 thanks to Beerman6686. Poured oily jet black with no head slight chunks. Aroma of pungent vanilla fruity bourbon wood that stings a bit. No carb thick bod. Complex dark choc wood roast taste. Killer.

This one poured a jet black color with a suprisingly normal sized dark tan head. Aroma was big smoke, soy, dark chocolate, dark fruits and booze. Flavor was similar, big soy and smoke, very sweet, but not tooth hurting, definite alcohol burn but actually hidden pretty well given its strengnth, got hotter and a bit chunky towards the end of the bottle.

Batch 1 bottle shared thanks to beerman6686. Thanks, Dan! Pours a deep deep brown black like used motor oil sludge. Some protein chunks. Thick and syrupy. There was a reverse cascading head that appeared quickly and held like jello. Aroma of nutty chocolate. Boozy but not the volatile boozy smell of some high alcohol beers. Taste is much like the smell. Nutty chocolate taste thickly coats the mouth. As the beer warms there is a significant alcohol burn. A few ounces of this beer is all you need.

On tap @Het Oude Schooltje. Pours black with light brown foam. Aroma is alcohol and a bit sweet. Taste alcoholic, bit chocolate. Full body and rather sticky.

Bottle care of Mes at Tom’s birthday. Opaque black, off white head, oily. Nose is damp cellar, rich black chocolate, coffee, dark fruit, prune, raisin, ripe fruit, roasted malt. Taste is deep deep chocolate, alcohol, dark fruit, prune, black sugar, intense and oily mouthfeel.

The darkest brown head I have ever seen. You can actually feel it going straight to your head as yo drink it. Huge bourbon, cooking chocolate, coffee roast. Super full bodied, as yo wold expect. Probably doesn’t as give as much as you would hope, but still a mutha of a beer. Rich, decadent though not as filthy rich as the original damnation.

Sampled at Stockholm beer and whisky 2013. Sweet chocolate aroma. Lastig brown head. Stronger and bigger version of Black albert.

Thanks to whoever shared this at CCB. Taste chocolatey, heavy bourbon presence, alcohol not exactly well-hidden, sweet. It’s ok, but not the kind of thing I really want to try again.

Draught sample @Brugs BF 2014, ZO. Pours a viscous pitch-black with very inviting small mocha head. Heavy, sluggish aroma of caramelised bourbon vanilla, liquorice. Impressive how easy this is to sip, with abv fumes reduced to a minimum, putting many a cheap macro bourbon or amped Porto to shame in this respect. Well-rounded, with none of the bottom-fermented Eisbock side aromas as sardine oil or soy. Sticks to the ribs, where it blissfully sealed off the tasting tract for an hour or so.-Rather that in the appropriate sampling size than seal my beer spending wallet for a whole month at the bottle price...
