4.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Pours an amber colour with a slight orange tinge. Big white head that dissipates but leaves a healthy ring and lace covering the entire glass. Aroma is mostly pine, some grassiness, some citrus, and some sweet malts. Flavours are pine, grapefruit, grassy, earthy, dry finish. So well balanced the 8.2 abv is hardly noticeable.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber from the LCBO. Dark amber with a bubbly off white head. Some resiny hops but light and airy, nice malty backbone, mild citrus, fresh. Moderate body but light, moderate+ carbonation, balanced bitterness, some alcohol, malty and more resin. Interesting.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle (650 ml). Thanks Andrew! Unclear dark amber with a huge creamy off-white head and good lacing. Aroma is of malt, vegetal notes, some sweetness, pine and citrus. Taste is moderately sweet with malt, caramel, citrus pine, vegetal notes, soap and slight to moderate bitter finish. Medium body. Dry. Ok DIPA. Not too heavy but a tad too sweet.

On tap at alibi. Had many farty nights drinking bombers of this a couple years back. Easy drinking, low resin impy.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cloudy light amber appearance. Aroma is quite hoppy - citrus and pine with a hint of caramel as well. Carbonation is light but perfect for this style in my opinion the mouthfeel is also bang on with the right amount of oily-ness. Taste is quite hoppy a lot of pine and kind of skunky as well. The bitter and citrus flavours take over towards the end. The malts are quite balanced and suit the hops well they didn’t go overboard on the caramel like some IPA/DIPAs.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20

IIPA.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
It tastes like treacle, figs and currants. And pineapples, grapefruit. It;s also got a weird eucalyptus taste.
Surprisingly sweet (but not cloying or syrupy).
Very close to barleywine

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle - Citrus and pine and some biscuit. Clear orange with a thick head. Piney with a significant hit of bitterness and a bit of alcohol. Very dry finish with the bitterness lingering. I remember this being much better when I first had it, I may have a bad batch.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
650 ml bottle purchased at the LCBO on Rideau and King Edward (Ottawa) on March 1, 2013. Dark orange, medium head. Aroma of citrus and pine hops, a little sweet. Taste of herbs and pine hops, dry alcohol, not very bitter. A little better than their IPA, just a little!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from the LCBO, this beer pours a cloudy golden colour with a thick frothy head. The aroma is of thick citrus and malty notes, the taste is delicious with a citrus and pine hop notes. Behind all that hoppy goodness, is a malty backbone that offers some delicious thick caramel malts. This is a great double IPA, and I will definitely try again!
