Black as coal, brown head and a godly body...
The aroma is soft and rounded with loads of coffee, prunes, dates and some roasted notes. The flavour is full, dominated by the coffee, chocolate, roasted malt and some esters. The end is bittersweet. The aftertaste simply won’t stop!
A really stuning beer!

Bottle from my Santa - thank you a lot Blafa! The beer pours out in a deep dark black colour with steady low head and medium body. Nice aroma of malt, chocolate and torf. Taste of rich and intense malt, bittersweet chocolate, nuts, woods, espresso and torf. Earthy but also sweetish hints. Enjoyed it a lot.

Pours a completely dark colour with a good brown head. Strong aroma of coffee which is really inviting for a good experience. Also some dry wood and some earthy notes to it. Taste is is just magical! The strong coffee taste really sticks out, and the rest of the flavour is so well balanced. Dough, nuts and some spruce in there, making in a very complex beer. Long and lovely finish, which really never lets go. Full bodied, with a oily texture and soft carbonation, which makes the flavours show themselves from their best side. This has to be the best beer in Scandinavia, at least top 3!

Pitch - darth vader - black! No real head though. Noses of milk coffee, earthy, toffee, sweet malts and some faint wet forest notes. Tastes of milk chocolate and coffee, sweet, light fizzy with a slick texture and a full body. Faint bitterness and liquorice notes offering some traces of vanilla. Well balanced with a rather long lasting chewy finish.

My 100th review! Served with a breakfast of bacon, eggs, and cheese hash browns. Color is a beautiful dark espresso, with a small, dense creamy brownish head. Left massive amounts of silky lacing on the glass. Nose was surprisingly light, but became more apparent as it warmed. Oodles of coffee and the darkest dark chocolate. By the end, the smell lingering in the goblet was a fine cup of espresso. Flavor is a good strong cup of coffee. Very nice dark roast character. Quite good!
The very last sip revealed a rich fruity flavor that I couldn't place. I kept revising this review as I drank - the beer was slowly revealing more and more depth to its character. Awesome.

Tap at mikkeller bar, Copenhagen. Pours a dark brown/black with a tan head. Aroma is rich, sweet coffee - tiramisu-like. Full body, mild carbonation. Yum. Sweet coffee cake, vanilla, chocolate then nice bitter boozy finish. It's really good.
