Bottle conditioned;
Bracia is the Celtic name for a beverage brewed in Iron Age Europe with reference found on a Roman inscription at Haddon Hall,Derbyshire. Little is known about this except it was high in alcohol, brewed with cereals and, most probably, honey. Thornbridge’s Bracia has been infused with a generous amount of dark and bitter Chestnut Honey. This was sourced by Head Brewer Stefano Cossi from Beekeeper Onelia Pin in the Alpine foothills of North East Italy. Aromas are of chestnut, honey, cappuccino, white chocolate, dark fruits, vibrant fresh peel. The mouthfeel is velvety and rich, with notes of coffee, chocolate, liquorice and hazelnuts with warming alcohol, cocoa and a little peat in the finish. Malts: Maris Otter, Brown, Munich, Dark Crystal, Black, Chocolate, Peated and Roasted Barley. Hops: Target, Pioneer, Hallertau Northern Brewer and Sorachi Ace. Bracia can be cellared for up to one year, maybe longer. Its flavours will evolve so why not enjoy the experience of opening a bottle every once in a while.

Masterful brew - classic Thornbridge: at once both defining and redefining a style. Rich and heady with the honey packing a punch. Not an imperial stout but a clear traditional ale. Not much else to say but this is one of the best english regular beers - file in the same category as VIntage Ale etc.

Rated on 5-09-2011. This bottled beer has a medium sized semi-frothy, very fizzy, very bubbly light brown head that mostly diminishes, opaque dark brown body and no lacing. The aroma is black malt, licorice, chocolate, hops, sweet, honey, and some alcohol. The taste is sweet, rich, malt, hops, chocolate, licorice, and spice. The mouthfeel is very tingly and this beer is medium bodied. This is a sipping beer with a very rich flavor. It is somewhat of a complex beer but very worth trying and a beer I would enjoy drinking again and again.

Swietne tradycyjne brytyjskie ciemne ale. Z brazowawa piana, czarnym nieprzezroczystym kolorem, W smaku ciemna czekolada, kakao na mleku nieco wanilli i miod. Zapach jakby capucino z orzechami laskowymi. Niebywale wrazenia. alkohol ukryty, niewyczuwalny, a przeciez jest w poteznej dawce. Wspaniale zbalansowane. Cos pomiedzy imperial stoutem, a mik stoutem. Takie mialem wrazenia. To najlepsze piwo od Thornbridge jakie kosztowalem. Polecam

Sammetslen Ale med brända toner och kaffearom, känner lite lakrits som smyger i bakgrunden. Ljusbrun skumkrona som försvann ganska snabbt. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Black, with brown head that does not last long. Aroma is dark chocolate, heavy roasted, raisin, some alcohol (does not disturb), some peat (especially on the finish), a little bit of honey when warmed. Not sweet, but not very bitter as well. Overall, tasted like an Imperial Stout. Good one.

Basically sweet and roasty tar. Flavourful as few beers, but this is potent stuff. I have had beers with much higher ABV, but something in this balance made it very hard to get down, very sweet underneath the roastiness. Still worth a try.
