On tap at the 2009 Crescent Moon Summer Beer Festival. Cask version. Pours dark amber with a yellow head. Intense dry hop aroma. This has a blast of chocolate to the aroma. Fluffy head. I get lots of parching hops out of this, but little citrus. A huge hop bolus hits you mid-palate. Has a long drying bitterness on the tongue at the finish. Winner of the Beer Quest competition sponsored by Empyrean and brewed by homebrewer Chris Vejnovich.
