2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from eboats Thanks!
Pours a decent light amber with an aroma of cantaloupe malt. Slight peach as well. Little head, no cling in the lace. Flavor is a hybrid honey mixture, with bits of cotton candy. Not bad.

12oz bottle via trade with eboats - Thanks Caleb! - Pours amber with a short white head that fades quick.. Aromas of caramel, and a touch of nuts. Flavor is caramel, a touch of dough, and not much else. Palate is more towards the thin side. Drinkable and would make a fair session..

I beat Scott to this one! 12oz bottle from Eboats. Pours a very light copper color with a white foamy head. Head receeds to a small ring. Nose is sweet caramel and nutty malt. Flavors of caramel, nuts, a light hint of sour mash. Very mild and easy to swallow. WOuldnt be a bad one to drink alot of at a party.

Thanks to Sledge Jr for this one!
This one starts out with a small off white head that disappears quickly.
Light amber colored body.
Sour orange aroma. The flavor is slightly sweet, but lacks the malty, smoky characteristics I look for in a good Scottish Ale. This needs more body to meet the style expectations as it’s quite thin.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours dark orange with quickly fading tan head. Too light in color. Slightly caramel malt aroma, but lacking the faint smokiness in many of this style. Very thin on the palate for a Scottish Ale. Little to no hop bitterness, as is appropriate for style. Below average.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
12 oz. bottle into tulip glass. Dark clear orange in the glass. Medium to large white fizzy/fluffy/firm head that’s mostly diminishing. Thick but oily lacing, good sluggish sub-surface "racing." Macroish hop smell with a little spice, and a vague whiff of caramel malt. Good malt sweetness. Not enough flavor, though. Some soft pilsner style hops, very faint. A trace of the advertised hickory smoke on the finish. In all, fairly weak and uninteresting, but drinkable.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Cask. Slight head, mellow gold. Very little aroma, slight malt smell. Creamy, fairly chilled for cask, smooth, light flavor, but the body does seem a bit more full than the norm for Empyrean beers...touch, just a touch, of spicy bitterness at the end...light quaffer with an odd predominant butter, carmel flavor that makes the malt character muddled instead of yummy.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured a pure amber color. The head is sticky with average sustainment. The aroma is woodsy. On the first swallow, it’s peaty and roasty. It becomes more caramel than anything as the drinking goes ... bit thin. Not what I’d call a "Scottish", but a decent enough mild ale.
