Truly a one-of-a-kind. We balance coffee-like, dark roasted malts with the sweet, seductive flavor of vanilla beans. The result? A deliciously unique flavor.

Bottle. Pours clear dark brown with a small, fizzy light tan head, short retention with light lacing. Aroma is vanilla, roast and chocolate malt, dates and earthy hops. Flavor is malt dominant with vanilla notes, light hops and bitterness, dark fruits and a sweet finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Bottle. Pours dark brown with a smallish tan head and lots of lacing. Aroma is vanilla and some roasted malt. Flavor is roasted malt, some coffee, lots of vanilla. Mouthfeel is a bit astringent. Long, overly sweet finish. I’ve had better vanilla porters.

A dark brown beer with a small tan head. The aroma is nice roasted malt, vanilla, and cocoa, but a little weak. The flavor is bittersweet cocoa, dark fruits, and vanilla.

12 oz bottle. Pours brown with a thinnish meringue tan head that goes to a thin film and leaves a little lacing.

The aroma is sweet nutty malts and lots of vanilla and some lactose.

The flavor is sweet sugary nutty malts with some acidic vanilla and a little plastic roast in the finish. The mouthfeel is a bit on the thin and watery side.

Overall, lots of sweet vanilla with some off notes that become more pronounced the more I drink.

Had at a restaurant - bottle pours a fairly clear dark brown with minimal off-white head. Aroma hints of vanilla and dark malts. Taste caramel malts with a nice touch of vanilla, nuts and roast. Improved as it warmed. Medium body. Pretty good.

I’ve had two of these and one was oxidized and tasted metallic. The vanilla was almost non-existent whereas the fresh sample was sweet and rich. Tried at the Green Room in KC in 2012.

Pour on tap at HMLS, dark brownish pour with thin tan head, aroma brought notes of caramel, vanilla, sweet chocolate and biscuity malts, touch of roast, coffee as well. Taste is on the sweet side, some vanilla, coffee and a bit too much caramel, slight coffee and roast, finishing fairly sweet.
