COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Truly a one-of-a-kind. We balance coffee-like, dark roasted malts with the sweet, seductive flavor of vanilla beans. The result? A deliciously unique flavor.

A: Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a glass to reveal a dark brown beer with a tan head. S: The nose is primarily roasted malt with a few hints of vanilla and coffee. T: Like the nose, the flavor is primarily roasted malt with a stronger vanilla presence. There is also some chocolate and a bit of coffee. M: The body is medium and the body is medium. D: A pretty decent beer with a really cool name. A nice porter and I like the addition of the vanilla as it adds a little bit "extra".

355ml bottle (Beertopia, NE) - thanks Anna’s parents!
Jet black, small tight head which settles to a mouldy appearance. Sweet roasty aroma, despite starting slightly stale. Pleasant carbonation, and full-bodied. Sweet coffee and vanilla accompany a simple roasty malty body. Zingy hops hang around for a finish, as does a delicious roastiness. No real weaknesses more than just being a tad sweet. A very easy beer to drink, despite being quite characterful. Didn’t really get a ’wow’ from drinking it, but the numbers don’t lie.

On tap @ Great River Iowa City. Dark brown appearance with a brown head. Light vanilla and light toasty malts in the nose. Delicious vanilla bean flavor on a smooth porter body. The vanilla is done well which is appreciated.
