Hazy peach gold pour with a 1 finger, creamy beige head. Aroma is floral, fruity and citrus hops, lemon, dusty grain. Flavor is wheat, floury grain, grassy, fruity and citrus hops and a nice crisp minerality to the finish along with a lightly bitter citrus fade. Light body, but with a lingering fullness on the tongue, medium carbonation. Good stuff, and nicely refreshing, hard to pin a style on it, though. Somewhere between APA with some wheat in it and hoppy Wheat Ale.

Bottle. A- Lima beans, wheat, cereal, creamy. A- Copper color, clear liquid, minimal head. T- Malty, crisp, wheat, cereal, caramel, vegetables, cream. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, mild finish. O- This doesn’t taste like much of a pale ale to me. Virtually no bitterness or hops. A faint vegetable smell and taste that kind of turns me off but still not horrible.

This is a pretty beer. I’m usually hesitant with empyrean beers, but I’d recommend it.

UPDATED: DEC 14, 2014 Transition Ale? I guess that’s Empyrean’s way of calling this ale a mutt. I mean that in the most complimentary way possible. Its hop profile is like that of a pale ale, yet its body seems like what you would find in a cream ale. Regardless of how one chooses to classify this ale, I’m glad that I get to call it one thing: tasty. The mouthfeel is sleek. The flavor is rich, then freshly hoppy. Domino Effect doesn’t seem to fit a defined style, but that’s just fine. It’s right at home in my glass.

Aroma is malts/grains and very light citrus. The flavor is citrus, fruit/pomegranate, light hop resin, malts and a tangy/slightly sweet finish.

UPDATED: DEC 23, 2013 Bottle. Kind of a murky pale orange pour with a smaller head. A little bit of citrus and mild malt, but not very interesting overall.

Pale dirty orange. Not much head, slight lace. Generic yeast aroma.Light grain aroma, with light tartness. Possible oxidation. Light malt taste ,light hops-citrus like, kinda generic, almost stale, metallic. Overall mild and kinda awkward, not surprising with my expericences with empyrean. Dont think Ive liked one yet, I’ll take tallgrass over any of these anyday. Kinda neutral about this, its still beer and slightly better than some light lagers Has some bitterness like a pale ale otherwise Something falls very flat in taste of this.

pours a hazy dark orange with an average white head. This beer is unfiltered and dry hopped. The beer starts off lightly sweet and fruity, there is a light citrus bitterness and moderately grainy.

Pours a very murky, hazy, brown meets orange...this beer just looks bad. I understand unfiltered and heavily dry hopped. But have to go 2 on appearance. Aroma of light toasted malt, citrusy hops and a touch of caramel. Flavor of pine, mixed citrus, very nice and dry. Nice malt profile.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a golden amber with a nice biege head. Aroma of malt, florals, and citrus. Taste is caramel malt, citrus, grain, and florals. Very easy to drink APA. Nice.
