COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Serving as an ancient navigational pointer and constructed from unworked stones in the likeness of a human, INUKSHUK means, “you are on the right path.” Watch Man IPA keeps the bitterness firm, but in check, and is accented by floral and citrus notes from the hops. Pair with flaky grilled fish, creamy pastas and hearty salads. Brewed with 2-Row and Maris Otter malts with Nugget and Amarillo hops then Cluster and Sterling dry-hopped. Original Gravity: 14.3

Draft sample. Pale gold in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas are a pleasant classic blend of clean pale malt, white and pink grapefruit, and herbs. Flavours are of more white grapefruit, lime pith and herbal hops. Medium bodied with clean bitterness. Solid.

Bottle. A- Oranges, gummies, citrus, juicy, subtle caramel, slightly bitter, spices. A- Orange color, cloudy liquid, white head. T- Citrus, tangerines, bitter, biscuits, caramel, strong spices. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, slightly bitter finish. O- Not too shabby. Even had it a good month after the best by date. Lots of juicy citrus on the nose that fades with the head and turns into more of a caramel aroma. The taste is pretty balanced with a little bit of a strong spice taste.

Pour out of 12 oz bottle, clear orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of biscuit, bread, some soap, hints of butter into a bit of orange, slight spice. Taste was a mix of butter, grass, bread into a bit of spice, some slight fruity notes with a touch of citrus, finishing slightly dry, slightly bitter.

Bottle to glass. Pours a slightly hazy amber color. Aroma is lightly malty, biscuity and faint hints of hops and grass. Not much on the nose. Taste is light caramel, piney hops with a mild bitterness. Better taste than aroma. But not spectacular. Palate is lightly carbonated with a thin mouthfeel. Below average.

Tap at haute dish. Hazy apricot orange with white head and good lacing. Very subtle hop and citrus aroma. Slight hop taste initially, then a thicker resin finish that dries at the end. Nice body. Needed more flavor probably.

Pours a clear orange color with off-white head. A little pine and citrus on the nose; follows onto the palate. Not real strong as I would like an IPA to be, but ok.

Bottle from Happy Harry’s in Grand Forks, ND. The beer poured orange with a medium sized white head. It had a mild skunk smell. The taste was unusual in that, in my opinion, there was no citrus or pine notes in this IPA. It is pretty dry and bitter. Not a real good example of an IPA.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a thick , very well retained ivory head, with heavy lacing, over a hazy medium amber (SRM 12) body.....nose is light floral honey notes, cereal, mild hop spice.....taste is slightly sweet, cereal, mild hop spice, finishing with a light lingering hop bitterness......mouth feel, medium body, slightly sticky, no alcohol, carbonation adds light acid, minimal tingle. This is a gentle take on an IPA. It is rather simple in both the malt and hop backbones in both aroma and flavor, and for the hop heads the bitterness is quite low. It is nicely balanced however, contains no technical flaws, and tastes good. BJCP 7/3/14/5/6
