3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 bdunhill (197) - Brussels, - MAY 31, 2012This Belgian Blond has a malty sweet aroma and pours a light golden complexion with a heavy froofy head that disapears quickly. It has a lighter flavor than you would expect from the aroma but than has a lingering light bitter taste on the palate.

Blonde légèrement trouble, forte pétillance, beau col crémeux persistant. Amertume houblonnée dominante, légèrement sèche et métallique, notes fruitées en arrière-bouche, trop peu de nuances.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Douberd (681) - NETHERLANDS - JUN 7, 2013
Stubby 330 ml bottle, into a tulip glass at home. ABV 6.5%
Deep golden yellow colour, but also sort of pale at the same time, just a tiny bit hazy. Huge snow white head, soapy, with very good retention and heavy lacing left on the glass. Minimal activity in the glass.
Aroma is yeasty, with fruity notes and caramel malts.
Taste follows the aroma. Yeast, fruits. Nice bitterness.
Quite carbonated, medium thin body.
Overall, decent belgian ale, nothing extra ordinary though.

I like this one. Full body, first taste is malty, not sweet. Then followed by a little tart. The finale is herbal and bitter. Carbonation is strong. A rich taste in a relatively light beer, according Belgian norms at least.

330 ml bottle. Rated on 2.3.2013.
Pours a golden colour with a large, frothy, white head. Aroma is rather rich with honey, grass and sweet caramel. Flavour of rich sweet fruits, grassy hops, mellow spiciness and nutmeg. Medium bodied, high carbonation and a warming, fruity, bitter finish. Alcohol warms nicely. Great.
