A suspicious mind would say a new label is a new beer... but the brewery claims the recipe has been changed too, from the Ename 974 of last year. It seems more hops were added, amongst others. Amber, very clear colour; very little, but persistent yellowish rim. Sweetish nose, slight orange zest, bit of crystal malt. Sweet taste, but there is a definite salty taste hiding. Then again, not much more is, if it weren't for the alcohol. Warming mouthfeel, thinnish texture. OK, but I want fireworks from a X-mas ale - this a flat-wet blindshell.
