Bottle from Vinmonopolet, Vika. Pours reddish-brown with a light brown head. Sweet caramel aroma with raisins and dried fruits. Annoying metallic taste. Not my favourite, but still drinkable.

Bottle, 14C. Brown with a quivering beige head. Restrained aroma of caramel, prunes, spices, a little vinegar. Sweet with some chocolate as well as dried fruits and medium sugars. Nice balancing bitterness and a little sourness, but the sum seems less engaging than the parts. OK.

Bottle from Asao. Dark brown with orange and a huge head. Aroma of fruit: cherry, raisin, plus spices and caramel. Sweet caramel and fruit flavor, some spices, not all that rich, though, and a bit thin. Ok.

Lovely glowing red/brown. Sweet malt, prunes, some oak, fruity yet quite dry finish. Pleasant. Moderate carbonation. Next time I’ll try this with cheese.

1996 (est) bottle shared by haggerty. Pours dark brown with a thin set of beige bubbles on top and a dark fruit aroma. There is a smooth vanilla and treacle flavor with a slightly carbonated chocolate finish. Surprisingly held up very well over the years, with a mature mellow feel. Much better than the fresh ones.
