Tap. Pours clear dark amber with lazing beige head. Aroma has malt with biscuit, caramel and some roasted tones and semi-sweet nutty. Taste is malty with bread, caramel, nuts, some roasted notes and hints of grassy hops. Finish is balanced malty, sweet and dry.

From tap. Pours light hazy dark brown with an off white head. Aroma of light smoke, caramel, red berries, light nutty, maybe some diacetyl? Taste is a sweet caramel, toffee, light toasted notes, grassy, hints of butter. Not my thing at all. The description calls this "Slighly sweet". That has to be the understatement of the year.

(bottle, 33cl) Dark brown colour with a big and beige loose foamy head. Discreetly roasted malty aroma with bready accents and subtle dark berry-fruity notes. Moderately sweet flavour, medium bodied at best with a moderate carbonation. Dark malty, delicately earthy and roasted taste with mildly fruity notes; moderately sweet and rather slim malty finish. Prettily boring for a Dubbel. 21.II.16

Vrij smakeloos biertje. Als je mond helemaal zuiver en neutraal is proef je wat gebrande mout en lichte caramel, maar als je al iets anders gegeten hebt of gedronken proef je gewoon spa rood. Slap en vergeetbaar.

Bottle 33cl. Dark red-brown color, frothy light tan head, stays a while, some lacing; roasty malty nose, caramel, coffee, licorice, brown sugar; taste medium sweet, roasty, slight bitterness, coffee notes, bit thinnish; prickly on the tongue, medium body, oily texture; dry sweetbitter finish, getting more bitter, bit earthy and slightly harsh.

Flaska från Beergium. Något år gammal. Kastanjebrun som drar åt rött, klar, högt krämigt skum som består länge. Snyggt. Söt doft av marsipan, smörkakor, brända mandlar och lite jäst. Söt men relativt balanserad. Vetekrans med sukat, marsipan, lite belgisk jäst, körsbärskärnor och en lätt men tydlig kryddig beska. Trevlig.
