RBESG Sheffield 2009, day 3, The Fringe, Manchester. Bottle. Dark brown colour, white head. Aroma was almost absent, just a hint of dark malts and some sugar. Flavour is very metallic, malty, brown sugar, dull, thin. Light bitter finish.

Cookie and caramel in the nose, hazy pale ruddy-brown. Thin sticky head. Sweet toffee malts with some plum and currant tastes. A fizzy dry end. Medium body. Enjoyable for sure, though not terribly exciting.

Dark brown with a light brown head. Sour grassy soap smell. Tasted like copper malt.

First I thought that this is a terrible brew - it is average. It has to warm up a little bit to show it’s good sides. Fizzy medium sized head on hazy murky brown liquid. Alcohol and almond nose, weird malt nose too. Strong alcohol taste - to offensive, also malt and raisons.

Bottled 33cl. Tall, nicely lasting light beige head. Yeasty with coconut being rather present. Sweet. Nothing special.

Spiesy (2336) - Sydney, Greater London, AUSTRALIA - JAN 9, 2005
Bottled. Deep, rich, true brown body, soft smallish (for the style) beige head. Nutty malts, with some milk chocolate qualities. Not a stand out but still very easy drinking.

Bottle at Cafe Buitenlust, Oirschot. Nice dark brown color, thick white head. Smell and taste decent, average carbonation and medium body. Overall quite a nice beer.
