Hazy brown with huge beige head. Sweet aroma with caramel, ripe fruits and roasted malt. Sweet flavor with notes of roasted malt, caramel, ripe fruits and caramel. Ends sweet.

Dark amber colour, with a red light; generous head. Nice aroma of malt and roasted malt, some caramel too when warmer; some alcohol. Good body, sweet malt balanced by the roasted malt and caramel. Correct bitterness ending in a pretty long palate.

33cl bottle from Dorstvlegel, Antwerp. Ruby/brown colour with beige lasting head. Just a bit too much boiled sweet and candy sugar. Some nice choc and malt on the aroma. Not too good in mouth or on the end. Shame cos the aroma is nice. Bit too metallic, but choc runs through it.

Chestnut brown with white fluffy & bubbly head. Buiscuit, caramel, toffee, roasted malt - sweet aroma. Taste is dark fruits & caramel with yeasty & sugary notes. Medium bodied - soft palate. Nice lacings. Overall enjoyable dubbel!

Dark brown, decent tanned, creamy head. Quite typical fruity "bruin" aroma (prunes, raisins). Carbonated, fruity - dark fruits - quite good dubbel.

UPDATED: APR 21, 2011 Bottled at Fynske Øldage, Odense, Denmark. Copper in color, with a light tan head. Quite flat. Sweet, malty aroma. Fruity flavor with candisugar. Long, dry, bitter finish. Rating: 6-4-7-4-16-3.7. 051029
Bottle. It pours almost entirely clear, dark amber to copper in color and with a big, off-white head leavings some lacings. The aroma could easily be more pronounced, but it’s quite pleasant as it is, with a touch of cellar, lots of dried fruits and a quite sugary sweetness. Some spiced and yeasty notes too. It’s a bit thin on the palate, semi-dry and with flavors of dried fruits dominating. A pleasant bitterness finishes the whole thing. A nice one, it needs more body, but it’s still a nice dubbel. 110421
