Nose is candy sugar, bread, strawberry slight toffee. Taste is overpowering candy sugar. Leads through to some green apple, caramel slight burnt note. Mouthfeel is cloying.
Overall, a typical dubbel for a style in the doldrums. Others do it better, and without the silly sugar added.

Pours a reddish brown beer with a big white head. Smells a bit odd. Metal and cheese. Very bad smell. Maybe infected. The taste is also a bit metal. Carbo is good. Weak body abd texture.

Bottle. Pours clear red with a huge off-white head and lots of lacing. Aroma of lightly roasted malts and caramel. Flavour like aroma plus a bit of dark fruits, spices and sugar. Sweet taste with an aftertaste that is slightly bitter and sour. A very typical Dubbel and one I wouldn’t mind drinking again...but not the best Dubbel (I’ve had) either.

Clear deep red to purple brown beer, big creamy beige head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: caramel, bit bready, dried fruits, chocolate, bit floral. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very metallic, some caramel, little bitter, some citrus. Aftetaste: lots of metallic flavours, unpleasant bitter touch.
