Bottle, Belgian Belly, Manchester. Pours a dense dark brown with a thick foamy biege head. Looks very inviting. Aroma is sweetish, with roasted malts, spice and dark fruit. Flavour is malty with more fruit and notes of caramel ,yet with a slight metallic tang which luckilly isn’t too prominent in the mix. Quite heavily carbonated mouthfeel. Far from perfect, but enjoyable on the whole.

Pours a dark brown color with a off white head. Aroma of sweet roasted malts. Flavors of roasted malts and sweet dry fruits like raisans and some spices. A sweet and dry finish.

The aroma is a light fruity sweetness. A deep copper-brown. Very fruity flavor...strawberry? Pleasantly light but flavorful. Very good! Notes: Le Week-end Bieres Speciales, Sohier Village ’10

Bottle at home in London. Pours red brown with a moderate, light tan head. Some fruits in the nose, perhaps berries, with light caramel. Medium sweet, plenty more berries, some mild herbal hops, lightly toasted sugars. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Sweet but dry to finish, some dried fruits, berries, mild sweet bread. Alright.

33cl bottle. Amber/copperish color with a beige head. Aroma is of lively yeast/barnyard, hoppy and sugary (butterscotch) malts. Taste is malty, dark fruits (cherry/prunes) with candi sugar. Reminded me of a better version of the ,any German Scharzbier.

Reddish brown with creamy tan head. Vague aroma of chocolate, yeast and prunes. Dry yeasty flavour with a nice fruity sweetness from banana, prunes and pear. Hints of dark toasted bread in the finish.

(Bottle, BB 18/09/08) Pours a burgundy body with a medium beige head. Aroma of mustiness, dark fruit, and caramel. Flavor, of malt, dark fruit, and molasses.
