Well, it looks like a tripel, with a slightly hazy golden body and a white, long-lived head that laces the glass excellently. The aroma however is a bit of a let down. Sure there are pleasant yeasty notes, herbs and spices, but also a strange butterish sweetness. The taste is initially medium to light sweet, with some acidity and a light bitterness. The bitterness grows somewhat in the aftertaste, and the acidity is also still present. Faint flavours of spices, yeast, herbs, resin and alcohol. Quite dry finish with chalky notes. A decent beer, but I don’t think the acidity was a good idea. There are far better tripels out there.
[33 cl bottle, enjoyed 1 year before BB date, from Vinmonopolet Vika, Oslo]

Pour is a cloudy blonde with a large white head. Aroma is very nice Belgian yeast and pils malt. Flavor is sugary with some malts and a very minor hop. Finish is sweet but dry. Not the best or most flavorful triple but has a few things going for it.

33 cl. bottle @ home. Golden with a big white head. Faint yeast smell with minor floral fragrances. A bit of ctrus in the taste and some alcoholburn. Overall a decent but not entirely balanced tripel.

Big soapy white head over an almost clear, yellow body. Dusty aroma with some light applely fruit, sand, lemon and canned sweet corn. Light sweet taste with very heavy carbonation. White sugar and foamy mouthfeel. Sticky texture with the sharp carbonation coming through. Looks boring, smells mild and tastes standard. Next. (33cl bottle, 2,00 EUR)

Bottle from Vinmonopolet, Vika. Clear yellow with a white head. Sweet fruity aroma with Belgian style yeast. A bit sour. Alcohol is pretty dominant. Far from the best Tripel, but still drinkable. Prefer Ename Blonde over this one.

Ar: Bright orange, peach, and rose. Ap: Cloudy pale golden, medium-small white head with moderate retention and a consistent lacing. T: Strong citrus flavor up front, juicy orange particularly - rosy alcohol and spicy hop flavor mingle with the fruity citrus in the finish - bitterness is medium. P: Medium-light body with high carbonation - dry finish. O: A solid tripel, with a particularly nice orange flavor - nothing outstanding, but a worthwhile tripel in the larger mix.
