33 cl. bottle sampled @ Modeste 2014. Lighter hazy golden, small white head. Smell is light metal, sugar, light fish guts, yeast. Taste is big fish guts (prob. the yeast as usual), not a fan, cold metal, malty, citrus, served quite cold. Light metal body. Ehh…… industrial & too much fish guts.

Typical abbey tripel with medium thick, snow white head and warm golden blond colour with slight orange hue; malty aroma with fruity accents (pear, peach), something vaguely buttery, flowery hops, white bread, some white pepper. Sweetish malty taste, creamy mouthfeel, straightforwardly fruity, bit yeasty, light citrus touch, mild herbal hop bitterishness in the finish along with some warming, but not disturbing alcohol. A very stereotypical and ’everyday’ example of its style and in that sense perhaps a bit boring and unremarkable, but well-balanced and tasty, no great ambitions, just plain good and enjoyable if you’re into tripels.

Straw-yellow beer with a frim white lasting head. Medium carbonation. Sweetness in the aroma. Small sweetness in the taste. Mostly caramel, yeast and a flowery accent. Finished with a slightly warming alcohol glow. Pretty nice tripel, a bit to sweet for my taste.

330ml bottle (BeerGallery Luxury, Krakow)
Smooth pale belgian ale aroma. Pale honey colour. Cookie cutter belgian ale in both aroma and taste, but decent. Out of the Blonde, Tripel, and Cuvee Rouge, this was my favourite. Smooth and quite pleasant. But nothing special.

Bottle at the Brouwcafe, Scheveningen. Poured a light straw colour with a long lasting frothy white head and lots of bubbles. The aroma is big Belgian yeast, light malt. The flavour is medium sweet light bitter with a big zesty bubbly acid, yeast, citrus, light spice palate and a short bitter sweet finish. Medium to light bodied with very lively carbonation. It’s like Duvel, with some fruit, spice and a whole lot of bubbles!
