Bottle thanks to mora2000. Pours with a deep, brackish brown, molasses hued body with a light ring of foam. Aromas are of marshmallow, marzipan, burnt caramel, sesame seeds, and honey. Flavors are pretty sweet, burned, marzipan, molasses, lightly tart, ash, cola, medium acid, a touch smokey. A lasting charred sensation in the mouth. Medium-full bodied, still.

A dark mead, nearly mahogany in color. Red grapes, honey, and booze in the nose. Taste is what truly shines, however.

Starts luscious and fruity, then slowly fades bitter as the burnt honeycombs step forward. Impressive how the profile completely changes start to finish while remaining delicious throughout. Alcohol hides behind the scenes.

Hey, this is pretty darn good. I'm impressed.

Amber pour. Aroma is full of sweet honey. Flavor is a mix of honey, with some light ash and brown sugar notes coming through. The burnt honey appears to have really affected the flavor in a good way. Nice mead.
