3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 hawthorne00 (1440) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - MAY 12, 2012
Bottle, 13C. Amber with a fading beige head. Aroma of toffee, nuts, some chocolate and oranges. A bit overcarbonated. Sweetish, tastes as it smells, with gentle bitterness at the dryish finish. Nice balance, could do with a little more oomph.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 gav12c (65) - AUSTRALIA - APR 26, 2012

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 mkel07 (1811) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - MAR 3, 2012
330ml bottle. Pours a very dark copper colour, almost red, wih a big loose head. Strong aromas that carry a spiciness. The flavour is very good and this is a much better beer than the 2010 edition.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Jade (311) - AUSTRALIA - FEB 29, 2012
Nice dark honey/amber colouring. Biege head, not much to speak of though. Nice fruity aroma. Bitter, fruit flavour with a roasted or oaky touch to it. Actually quite good.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 rodenbach99 (1927) - Longueuil, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 29, 2012
Sometimes in life we’re lucky, sometimes we don’t. I was lucky that my brother in law brought me this beer from Australia and drank it with friends, the bad luck was the Fantôme beer we drank that day. Nice amber coulour with a thin beige head. A lot of malt on the nose, the caramel is dominating, some fruitness is somewhat present. The caramel is omni present in the mouth with barley sugar candy. Rich and medium bodied amber ale. 6/10
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 SlovakSniper (1369) - Candiac, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 22, 2012
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Stew41 (1459) - Woodend, AUSTRALIA - JAN 14, 2012
Not bad. Largely a safe interpretation but I quite like the Belgian dubbel esque pongy fruits on the nose and palate. A dash of cola as well. So, upon reflection shows a reasonable amount of perhaps unintended complexity for the style.
