VTHopHead (634), Barre, Vermont, USA May 18, 2008 Bottle - Poured a golden amber in color with a very small white head that quickly faded, Aroma is of grainy malt, corn and grassy hops. Not overly impressive so far. Flavor was much like any mega-brew... heavy with adjuncts, not terribly hoppy and not real enjoyable. Finished with a weak bitterness. Not worth repeating... jcr (793), Jasper, Indiana, USA Dec 23, 2007 Bottle. Looks good with a large, fizzy head atop a yellow, sparkling body. It’s downhill from there. Average to heavy nose that first comes off as sweet straw and fresh grass, but reveals a hint of cleaning fluid. The flavor is lightly sweet, lightly acidic and lightly bitter. Medium body and a creamy texture that grows chalky. Lively carbonation. The finish leaves a vegetable, canned corn flavor in the mouth. SpudClampDawg (879), Jasper, Indiana, USA Dec 22, 2007 Darkened yellow pour with a gigantic white head that settles nicely. The nose is odd, with a healthy dose of fresh cut grass and a strong underlying note of rubber cement and nail polish. Me thinks an infection is growing here. The body is drinkable with a nice balance of strawy malt and light grassy hops. Aroma is odd, body isn’t bad. Braudog (3461), Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Sep 30, 2007 Bottle. Poured with a gigantic poofy head of pock-marked, bright-white foam. The beer beneath is golden-orange with a hazy middle. The aroma is acidic and sharp, like a freshly cut blood orange. As hinted-to, the beer drinks with a pronounced citric bite, not unlike a big juicy orange, that rindy aspect rearing its head particularly in the finish. This would go well with a salad of spinach, bacon and egg. (#3114, 9/30/2007) WISEGUY572 (1074), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 22, 2007 Clear grayish gold ... like watery lemon juice. Lemon nose and lemon zest and malt in the flavor, with perhaps some floral and grassy notes. Nothing nasty, just no intensity or intresting surprises.
