(Bottle) Pours dark brown to black. The aroma is quite roasted with notes of coffee. Light blackberry fruity alongside a trace of hops on the nose. The flavour is light sweet and light to medium bitter with coffee and dark berries. Astringent mouthfeel. Tart coffee roast and bitter hops lingers in the finish. Medium bodied.

old amateur rating: Surprisingly light stout. the 8.5% is well hidden. brownish foam, sweet aftertaste. a lot of yeast in the bottom!

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a huge dark brown head. The aroma has notes of burnt malts, wood, dark chocolate, and a bit of soy sauce. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of hard roasted malt combined with dark bitter chocolate and wood, leading to a very dry and roasted finish.

Bottle. Black with a nice medium brown head. Aroma and flavour of roasted malt, coffee, caramel and chocolate.

Bottle.Black with a small tan head.Roasted grains,chocolate ,alcohol and a hint of toffee in the nose.Roasted malts with some smokiness in the mouth .Noticeable alcohol .Medium to full bodied.Nice stout although a little unbalanced.

Bottle. Black colour with a tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate. Flavour is dry, coffee, chocolate, roasted, malt, smoked, alcohol. Full bodied nice beer.

Bottle. A black beer with a small beige head. Looking really nice, but hardly deserving a five. Chocolate, some roasted malts, a sweetish impression and hints of higher alcohols in the aroma. Quite nice though, the alcohol isn’t dominating in any way. It’s quite sweet in the mouth, still feeling dry in a way, full-bodied, and with flavors of roasted malts and chocolate. A fine bitterness too. I’m not very fond of the alcohol, but overall it’s a quite nice beer. 090720

Flaske: Mørkebrun med et fint brunt skum. Lakrids i duften. En smule brændt i smagen med lakrids igen. Spiller overhovedet ikke med musklerne selvom den nok skulle klassificeres som en imperial i betragtning af 8,5%.

Pours opaque black with a creamy, light brown, medium sized head. Nose of burned malt. Flavour of burned malt, coffee and notes of liqourice. Full bodied. Smooth. Slightly bitter finish.
