An amber beer with a light brown disappearing head. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of straw and caramel as well as hints of alcohol. The flavor is of roasted malt, caramel and straw in the middle, and the warmth of alcohol in the end.

yespr (26042) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - APR 23, 2008
50 cL bottle, trade with Koelschtrinker. Pours dark brown to amber, visible and with a dense off-white head. Breadish malt aroma with a light sweetness and carboard-ish note. Flavour is medium sweet malt, subdued spice flavours and with a light lurking alcohol presence beneath. Mild malty finish with a subdued alcohol flavour, yet still providing a general lifting of the malt flavours. Standard dunkler bock which doesn’t add nor retract compared to others on the market.

Papsoe (25131) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JAN 3, 2007
(Bottle 50 cl) Clear, amber golden with a small, off-white head. Somewhat unclean malt aroma. Very solid body with sweetish, roasted malt and distinct alcohol. Fairly solid but the malt profile is somewhat unclean. Subdued bitterness. Not a great Bock, but okay I suppose, if you’re just looking for a cheap buzz. 181206

Clean dark amber color. Caramel aroma and strong caramel taste, with some residual sweetness and too high alcohol perception. Only at the end it’s more bitter. Ordinary.

MiP (12160) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - FEB 6, 2007
Bottle, 7.2%. Brick-dusty, sweet yeast aroma. Clear dark brown colour. Very small head. The flavour is sweet and peppery, turning a bit bready. With a sweet yeastiness, giving it a slightly Belgian touch. Rather thin mouthfeel. The bitterness gets a bit rough in the late aftertaste.
