Geiserich (3408) - Linz, AUSTRIA - AUG 4, 2004
Brown color, nice frothy head, medium lace. Malty and light fruity aroma. Quite sugary, malty, and a light bitter, dry aftertaste. A little bit boring, quite unspectacular Dunkles.

jonas (5697) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - AUG 4, 2004
Roasted fruity malt and a somewhat dusty hop nose -indeed reminds one of a bottled bitter or something similar. Chestnut, low lacing creamy head. Light toasted malt with a herbal hop counterpoint. Dry finish - roasted almond aftertaste. Medium body, a tad fizzy.

Amber color with a slight off white head. The taste is sweetness with a light malty pattern. Has slight yeasty flavours an a very light bitter palate.

Ungstrup (29474) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUL 22, 2004
An amber beer with a fine white head. The aroma is very sligth - what is there is malty sweet. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of roasted bread and a hop dry end.

JorisPPattyn (7971) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - JUL 20, 2004
Clear brown-amber, greenish shine; slim, diffuse off-white head. Caramel & a bit gassy - gRassy too. eeehh! Surprise, surprise. Couldn’t be more different from the other Engel Dunkels as possible. Blind, I’d say a very good keg British B.B. Quite delicate-hoppy, again a bit grassy. Rather light bodied. It is a bit watery, but the aftertaste yields more bitterness. As said, not at all German in character, and not any the worse for it.

pivo (2571) - GERMANY - FEB 15, 2004
Very light toasted malt nose - wanted more then to go with the amber color. Tall foamy rocky head is attractive. Creamy toffee maltiness with a metallic end. Decent balance. Is that smoke tucked away in there? Not quite, but maybe a little peaty or maybe burnt caramel.

YogiBeera (2480) - New Jersey, USA - FEB 9, 2004
Decent brew - suprisingly. Fizzy carbonation, medium fast diminishing head, dark amber color. Sweet malt nose. Banana flavor, not to sweet, but very thick and flat - Altbier? I wouldn't say that - who came to that Idea?

Most consumed in the Crailsheim aread in Baden-Wuertenberg. Probably does not compare to the likes of Warsteiner, but still can be enjoyed.
