Aroma: malty, some grass; Appearance: golden, clear, medium quite long-lasting white foam; Taste: lightly bitter, some soursweet notes; Palate: light body, thin but little oily feel, average+ carbonation, rather short bitter & sour finish; Overall: nothing special

500 ml screwcap bottle, from the Poetzsch border shop near Kruså / Flensburg. ABV is 5.4%. Unlike Danish "Guldøl", which at least tends to have some flavour, the fairly new German style "Gold" appears to have been created as a response to the threat of Budweiser and other tasteless foreign crap to the German beer market. Crystal clear pale yellow colour, moderate white head. Weak grainy aroma, som sweetish malts in the background. Sweet flavour, sweeter than other Golds I’ve had, some malts are around here, so I guess some flavour is better than none. Minimal bitterness. Not something I’ll buy again.

Bottle at home. Pour a clear yellow with a small white head. Sweet with a tiny malty bittereness. Aromas of light malts and hints of hay. Medium to light bodied. Medium carboation. Dry finish.

Bottle shared with McTapps. Expected a rocket from a small market brewery and got the most skunky beer of my life. Aroma and taste remember me a soup from a cooked shoe. Awful stuff.

Clear golden colour, low but steady head, Thin body, nose of mild hops. The taste is just awful....something like too sweet hops, old cheese, sun-burnt grass and low malt. Not delicious.

Test vom 2.9.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,9,9,6,4,8 - 8,00

Tasted on CBF 2012. Pours clear straw coloured with a small white head. Aroma is weak grainy malty. Taste is the same, with some paper and grass. Harsh and almost unpleasant.
