2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
50 cl from tap @ skibar in Italy. Pretty draught where the German ancestry shines through in a positive way. Thirstquencher with a nice white head and golden color but a little too sweet and without much personality. A lot better than the standard fare Forst in the Dolomites ski-area though. Drinkable, pleasant but not a beer you sit down to enjoy.

Bottle. Pours almost clear golden with a frothy head. Smell of grains, corn with some earthy and skunky notes. Taste of sweetish malts with herbal bitterness, honey, caramel, light cardboard-like off-flavors. Light-medium body and carbonation.

Bottle shared at a tasting in Yuvalim. Clear gold. Aroma of graininess, bready malt, a bit of corn and a metallic touch. Sweetish flavor with malt, grainy, a bit bready, with a honey hint and a slightly bitterish finish. Quite light-bodied. Quite drinkable.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle from a trialpack from Bigbox Meppen. Plisner style colour, aroma and taste. Nothing special, what’s Gold about it? Maybe a bit more body towards the end, but that’s it.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz. bottle from Grocery Outlet. Great price for the six pack. It pours a deep, rich gold color much darker than expected with a white head. The aroma has some sweet, sugary pale malts. Hints of straw and honey with mild noble floral hops hidden underneath. The flavor is a bit sweet and flabby for the style, but not totally unpleasant. Honey and mild floral hop flavor and bitterness. Very full body for a light lager. I wish this finished drier, but it’s really not all that bad for what it is.

1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 3/20
Reminds me of a skanky Colt45 although slightly better being it’s free of adjuncts. Banana, yeast, honey, cotton, skunk, and stale raisins. Fairly clean finish however, without extended aftertaste. Not terrible, but not good either.
