Lots of banana on the nose, and a good dash of cloves. Some notes of caramel, and some wheat. It gives a rather sweetish impression, which is confirmed when tasting it. Sweetness, banana, cloves and wheat blends with some hints of yeast. Medium body, a bit on the sweet side, the carbonation being like a typical hefeweizen, quite high that is, this one in the higher end of the scale. Medium lenght finish with banana, cloves and wheat. Overall, quite decent, but too heavy on the cloves, slightly too much carbonated and not as refreshing as the Schneider or Weihenstephan weissbier. 101105

Shared screwtop bottle at Ole Anders. Opaque pale golden body with a large white head. Gymbag and banana aroma. Sweet flavor with earthy notes. Medium bodied and smooth with a light doughy texture.

Flaske hos Ole Anders mai-13: en typisk hefeweizen i aroma og smak for å sitere Sigmund. Godt og lettdrikkelig, særlig om sommeren! Helhetsinntrykket er i den slanke enden av skalaen.

Bottle at home. Pours a clear golden with a white head. Sweet with aromas of wheat and some bananas. Also hints of pears and labre larver. Medium to light bodied. Medium to soft carbonation. Dry finish with more fruit.

500 ml screwcap bottle, from the Poetzsch store on the German-Danish border, near Kruså / Flensburg. ABV is 5.5%. Hazy straw coloured beer, large white head. Typical sweetish hefeweizen aroma of ripe and over-ripe bananas and cloves (more banana than cloves), but fairly moderate. Refreshing flavour as expected, with a slight acidity. Banana and cloves again, but not as distinct as in the better hefeweizens. Not very sweet, and the mouthfeel is somewhat watery. Not the best hefeweizen in the world, but not the worst either.

(bottle) pours a murky golden colour with a frothy white head. aroma of heavy toffee and caramel, with hints of wheat, banana and soy sauce. flavour is mostly the same, very sweet, with notes of caramel sauce and lightly toasted wheat, too heavy. medium-bodied with lively carbonation.

In its style this is a great beer. Cloudy golden. Bread and mild banana fragrance. Mild sweetness and the palate can be a bit sticky. Pours with a lovely head. This is a great summer lunchtime beer.

Dark yellow colored with hazy appearance. Big white head. Wheaty aroma with flowers and fruits. yeast here with some spices as well. Medium bodied. Flavor is also fruity with lemon and some yeast, aftertaste turns to spicy with wheat and yeast.

Es schäumt sehr gut auf, hält aber nur mittelmäßig. Es riecht leicht hefig und süßlich. Geschmacklich ist es leicht weizig, leicht hefig etwas stärker süßlich insgesamt fast mild und ziemlich einfach. Keine Fehler aber auch keine Höhepunkte -> trinkbares Mittelmaß.
