Funny bottle, bière ambrée, caramel, sous le nom le p’tit tyrolien, vienna, mince en bouche, manque de caractère. La bouteille fait vendre.

Bottle. Pours golden with a decent white head. Aroma of sweet malts, slight hops, citrus. Flavor is carbonated, slight hoppy presence, sweet malts. I just didn’t care for this one too much, however, it is smooth and drinkable, but i wasn’t impressed.

UPDATED: JUN 21, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Engel really is a weird brewery with oddly named beers presented in weird containers. This beer comes in a bottle shaped as a Tyrolean - complete with braces etc. Hard to believe - but nevertheless it’s true. Most often the beer-quality is forgotten in these gadget-beers, but not here. Dark golden beer with a nice, lacing head. Rather thin body, but in flavour it is much fuller than a plain pilsener. Dark, nutty notes - very delicate. Reminds me of a refined light Belgian ale. A pleasure. 130100
