3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 EithCubes (3340) - GERMANY - NOV 23, 2011
Draught im Schwarzen Cafe. Light yellow-golden body with a lacy, creamy white head. Sweet, malty nose very faintly floral. Taste is slightly drier, not all that bitter, moving to accept South German dogma. Medium soft body and, sheesh, like every Pils I’ve had this week.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 dudebun (60) - GERMANY - MAR 1, 2011
This beer is really good and I only know one place to get it, at the Gambrinus Restaurant in Berlin. I would like to get it in bottles but I don’t think they do that. Anyway, it’s delicious. Slightly bitter but crisp and refreshing. Better off getting a smaller glass rather than a large one as it kinda falls off with time and heat. I also think it may have been unfiltered (naturtrüb) but maybe I’m confusing this with something else.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 motelpogo (5047) - Plzen, CZECH REPUBLIC - DEC 12, 2008
on tap in berlin. pale golden with a slim white head. pleasant vanilla malt character, which reminded me of a dortmunder. mild bitterness but somehow very drinkable Earlier Rating: 11/15/2001 Total Score: 2.6 maybe it was just the berlin slang getting to me or sickness but there was a slightly snotty start followed by typical crispness. may have been more intersting before schultheiss took it over.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 KnutAlbert (4607) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUN 25, 2008
On tap in Berlin, actoss the street from the Südstern. The 7 minute rule is still the king here.
Grain, malt, hops giving a round taste of roses and grapefruity bitterness in the finish. Lovely.
