It’s difficult to specify something on this beer. It’s a good soft beer, easely drinkable, but without nothing special that may justify an overall note higher than 13.

330 ml bottle from 2013, cellared for about one and a half year.
Dark copper, hazy body, with a big, creamy, slightly yellow head.
Aroma of yeast, dough, dried fruits, sweet apple, caramel, some sour fruits.
Taste is a bit dry, but also pretty sweet, with about the same aromas, also bready malts and slight booze.
Medium mouthfeel, with a soft carbonation.
Finishes medium bitter, a bit dry, bready, a bit sour-fruity, a bit zesty

Nice one: Seems to age well. Not the best or most special Belgian ale I’ve had, but a very solid and quite complex one, that is also pretty quaffable. The finish and mouthfeel could be a bit fuller.

Pours hazy bronze with a medium beige head, very fine lacing, excellent retention. Aromas of pear, pepper, banana, caramel, biscuit, grass. Medium body, smooth and velvety. Medium sweet, mild citrus tartness, lasting mild bitter finish. Enjoyably malty.

Appearance is amber with a nice header. Average carbonation. Aroma is sweet and taste is hoppy (bitter) with strong undertones of honey and caramel. Nicely balanced. Palate is smooth, creamy, medium bodied. A very good beer.

Un bière ambrée d’abord marquée par le houblon, puis par le coté malté, avec une bouche très sèche et avec de l’amertume en finale. Un bière très droite, un peu austère.

Intriguing beer. Appearance is excellent, a deep reddish amber with good head retention and carbonation. Aroma is sweet, with hints of honey, and taste is hoppy with strong undertones of honey and caramel. Palate is quite creamy and smooth. Overall I like it alot, but the balance is not quite world class, especially as the honey is at times too strong.
