3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
330ml bottle. Hazy brown color. Small size, white head. Alcohol, sweet, candy, caramel, fruity notes in aroma. Yeast, alcohol, sour notes, but not actually sour in taste. Fizzy mouthfeel. Soulless.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle 330 ml at home, into a trappist glass. ABV 6.9%
Golden orange colour on the body, mostly clear, with light activity in it. One finger of white head, thick enough, average retention and nice lacing left behind.
Aroma of peaches, apricot, caramel, sugar.
Taste is quite sweet, again apricots and peaches, candy sugar and a touch of yeast. Quite bitter on the aftertaste, with long duration too.
Medium thickness on the body, good carbonation.
Quite good in my opinion, surely above average belgian type of ale.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark and robust hues. The nose is of olives. Initial tastes bring the honey to the front, and it is slick and almost ethereal. Some olive notes return in the finish, but there is no real complexity. Because of the honey, this is rather sweet. It has the body and abv of a dubbel with the sweetness of a trippel, or even quad. I can’t say I was a big fan of this.

3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Colour: orange copper, creamy white head.
Nose: very fruity (mango, tangerine), heather-honey, vanila.
Flavours: bitter, sour grapefruit, herbs, citrus, alcoholic sharpness.
Finish: short, bitter, hoppy.
Verdict: not what I was expecting. It’s almost an IPA. Which is not something that fits within the Trappist range IMO.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Amber colour with a small white head. Aroma of malts, yeast, caramel, fruits, dried apricots, a variety of spices. Flavour is moderate spicy sweetness. Light sour notes in the rather dry finish. This is very much to my liking.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
The aroma is of dried fruit, sweet, lightly malted, with hints of cherries mixed in. The color a lighter amber color with a beige head. The head is quite lasting. The taste has dry, fruity notes to it, hints of cherry with other spices. It is very flavorful.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Finally had a chance to try the newest Trappist brewery. Lovely sweet malt aroma. Light brown colour with nice head. Taste is not as powerful. Sweet dried fruit some bitterness in the aftertaste. Nice beer.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
an interesting twist on a Belgian brew. Pours a bright ruby red with a thick puffy beige head. The nose is moderately hopped with bright floral hops aromas and light pine. Floral esters and yeast notes blend with toasted malts and light caramel aromas. Mild sweetness with a hint of tropical fruit. The finish has a light bitterness that subsides quickly. Overall an intriguing brew.
