Pours orange/amber, small head. Smells yeasty, and a bit vinegary. Tastes malty and sweet, with a huge yeast presence. Spices, mild sweet citrus, bread, bit of salt. Finishes slowly, with sweet spiciness and pepper.

Turtles (610) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - AUG 21, 2015
330ml bottle from Systembolaget. Hazy, dark amber, medium size, off-white head that drops quickly and leaves lacing. Aroma of dried fruit, dried apples, honey, spice, yeast. Sweet, round, slightly dry mouthfeel, medium bodied, medium carbonated, pleasantly fizzy. The taste is sweet, honey, biscuit, toffee mixed with tartness of apple and pear. Lovely balance of flavors.

Pours a vaguely hazy copper with floating particles. Nose is of candi sugar and oxidation. Taste is dry and moderately bitter. Light fruitiness, dull spices and earthy hops. Body is light and carbonation through the roof and prickly. Overall a dull belgian ale by any standard, I won’t be back.

Inoven (22) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - AUG 16, 2015
Licht kruidige nasmaak.

Amber color, cloudy liquid and nice head. Aroma of caramel malty, fruits and alcohol. In the mouth it is acidic, sour and a bit bitter. This beer has personality.

Poured from bottle 8/2/15. Tan head. Dark Amber. Not the typical Belgian beer flavours I was expecting. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Terre de Boissons Calais and drunk at home. Murky russet coloured beer lasting cream colour head. Estery aroma. Some peach some sweetness. It’s a little bit too estery. Some sweetness develops. It’s just that there are so many better Belgian ales out there. Too estery, too much vegetal character.
