Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear amber with a medium frotty off-white head and an aroma of alcohol, roasted malts, cherries, dried fruits and yeast. The taste is slightly to medium sweet, with more complex notes and some bitter and sour notes in the finish. Pretty nice brew.

Bonito color madera, miel oscura.

33cl bottle at home. Absolutely good looking amber, with red orange gloom. A very thick, rocky beige to white foam collar. Looks very promising, and the flavours are spiced and hoppy. I think of dough or bread too. A great malt and bitter start, sharp even, but these great flavours lack in the finish. This light bittery ending however is medium sweet and the whole is rather light bodied. The different taste sensations don’t really contrast in a well balanced brew. But hey, overall quite an enjoyable beer - a beautiful member of the Engelszell trappist series.

330ml bottle thanks to djoeye for sharing. Rocky off-white head leaving spotty lacing behind. Close to clear amber coloured body. Sweet smell of plums, pears, and earthy malts. Mid-sweet flavours of ripe citrus, dried fruits, caramel malts with a touch of yeast fruitiness to the ending. Well bodied. Pleasant (Tromsø 27.05.2015).

Look; good fawn foam, near clear amber body, crocheted lacing. Aroma; sourish fruit bouquet and apple peels, dry fruity impression to the nose. Taste; smooth fruit bowl, juicy malts, apples, peels, sourish apples mostly, fruity yeast, plums. Good body. Overall tasty, minus a bit too yeasty.
