Pours deep dark brown with small beige head. Aroma of prunes, raisins, honey, caramel. Taste is dark fruit, vanilla, candied sugar, very nice bitterness. For an almost 10% honey-sweetened Quad this is surprisingly refreshing! Very nice worthwhile addition to the Trappist family.

Brown colored beer with large brownish head and lots of carbonation. Floks of yeast poored in. Nicy fruity hopped malty aroma. Full sparkling palate. Finish is malty fruited with some roasted, sour and metallic hints.

33cl bottle (abv 9.7% BB260914) kindly provided by Rune; light beige falling hood, brown brown red hazy muddy body, crocheted lacings. Old milk room aroma, sour-cream, old cocoa. Taste; choco-milky prunes, sourish chocolate. Sticky on palate. Sweet sour old-milky finish. Odd. [Pleasant rating session 5.aug.@Finns place]

Alkoholen godt kamuflert.

Bottle from Mitra Druten. Mild gusher upon opening. Unclear brown coloured with a medium sized tan head. Nose is caramel malts, dark fruits, sweet raisins, bit of yeast. Flavour is caramel malts, dark and dried fruits. Slightly alcoholic, but smooth and soft mouthfeeling. Slighty bitter and sweet finish. Good balanced. Very pleasant.

0.33 l bottle at home. Cloudy dark brown with amber head. Great aroma of chocolate, liquorice and wild berries. Malty, coffee and a little acidic taste. Bitter liquorice persistent final. Good beer.

Deep chestnut pour, small tan head. Wonderful aroma of prunes, strawberries, smoke, apples and honey. Flavor is roasted barley, smoke, alcohol, dark fruits, raisins, candied sugar. Delicious if a bit too sweet.

The aroma is firmly malty - toffee, caramel, and dark pitted fruit. A cloudy brown pour with no head or laciing preceeds a luscious malty sweet palate. Caramel, candi sugar, dark fruit, cherries, honey. Full body and medium carbonatin. Round mouthfeel. Overall, while I’m not a fan of sweet beers, I did enjoy this sipper.
