Trappiste/quadrupple de bonne facture, mais sans surprises. Peu de complexité. A gouter, sans plus.

3.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Ottima birra, molto alcolica ma poco riconoscibile. Molto profumata con esteri mielosi e fruttati, frutti rossi. Al gusto l'ancora miele e frutta candita. Ottima da abbinare con un dolce, preferibilmente un buon panettone.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sweet malt aroma, caramel, toffee and fig notes in the taste. Sharp bitterness that balances the malt, yet contributes no hop aroma. Malt complexity grows as it warms in the glass. Second tasting in 2 weeks, first on tap and now in the bottle. Consistently delicious.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a very dark brown beer with a small, light tanned head. Aroma has a lot yeasty characters, some ripe dark fruits, pear and peach mostly. Some alcoholic notes shine trough the aroma with some malty touches. Very complex aroma. Flavour starts of very sweet, but more layers are discovered while drinking. Very sugary, malty sweetness with loads of sweet fruit flavours. A bit unbalanced to the sweet side, but still very enjoyable. Cloying, sticky mouthfeel. Great sipper, great new trappist!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A nice clean and fruity quad with a bit of a non Belgian twist. The pour is a dark murky brown with a finger of thick tan head. The nose is of toffee, caramel, brown sugar, prune, yeast, cherries and light spices. Mild nutty and toffee like mid palate with a hint of spice and mild but sweet fruity notes. Good balance with a full body and a smooth mouthfeel.

Aroma is figs, raisins, dates, and plums, caramel, cookie, and nutty malt with Belgian candi sugar, light smoke notes, earthy yeast-derived spices, and faint earthy hops. Flavor is dark candied fruits, bread, nutty, and caramel malt, faint hops and bitterness, earthy spices and a sweet finish. Full body and moderate carbonation.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured from a 330 mL bottle. Colour is clear dark red-brown. Off-white head that lingers with good lacing. Aroma is sweet malts, caramel, figs, and yeast. Flavour delivers what the nose promises with dark malts, burnt caramel, with notes of dried fruits and spice. A nice quadrupel but less complex than the best in this category.
