Great aroma. Tart, sweet and malty. Flavors of berries, honey, chocolate, cake, brown sugar, biscuit and juuuust enough clove to clean out the aftertaste. Citrus undertones. Excellent balance makes it easy to drink. I’m really surprised the ratings for this aren’t higher.

Dark red-brown, beige head. Nose is overripe fruit, malts, caramel, burned notes, toffee, some alcohol and wood. Flavour is dried fruit, plums, caramel, malt, sweetness, belgian yeast notes, some spice. Bitterness, alcohol burn and caramel in the finish. Medium body, soft carbonation, oily palate.

Deep brown/plum color. Big tan head settles to 1/4" before you can find your seat. Aroma is cool, dark mineral. Flavor is lots of chocolate, plum and grape juice. Mild burn after the finish, so it hides it until later. Heh. I want to like it more, its got a lot going on, more what I want to do is justify my purchase, but its just not as good as the cost.

Red-Brown color. Malty aromas: roasty, coffee; sweet and fruity: honey and ripped fruit. Intense flavor in mouth. Sweet taste (too much), full body and dry and long ending. Quite enjoyable beer. Filip

330ml bottle. Clear dark copper body, small mocha head with good retention. Aroma of dried berries, yeast, herbal bitter, spices. Taste dominated by yeast, berries liquor, caramel malt, light hops. Effervescent, alcohol well hidden. Most unusual trappist.

Bottled 33cl. Purchased in Drinks of the World, Zürich. Reminiscence of Unibroue’s yeast profile. Nice and without major flaws.
