First bottle! Pours deep brown-red with gold highlights, looks both serious and beautiful. Loads or rich flavors like ripe grapes, figs, vanilla, mineral and toffee. Some high notes like lemon and nuances of manure and barnyard. Has a creaminess elegance and mystique I was wholly not expecting, wow! Gonna stock up - I have a new friend and maybe it will age well.

Big inviting aroma, raisins and bubblegum. Very nice pour, pours brown, ruby red in the light, big light brown head. Taste is sweet and rich, fruity, good velvety texture in the mouth with a full body. Long aftertaste, very slight spice, will drink again! Nice to see some new trappists.

Bottle from the LCBO. Murky dark brown with a generous tan head. Nose of dark fruit, brown sugar and a touch of chocolate and vanilla. Light sweet and tart fruity mouth with a good medium light bitterness and noticeable spicy yeast. Medium full syrupy mouth with soft carbonation and a lingering tart finish.

330 mL bottle. It ain’t a tripel, even a dark one. Way too malty. It’s somewhere between a dubbel and a quad. Solid, but doesn’t stand out in any particular way.

Deep amber brown pour. The nose is plummy and a little bit fudgey. A fairly pronounced chocolatey note with a touch of molasses and cooked fruit. Figs, prunes, a touch of herbal character. Hoppy enough to balance the really luscious sweet fruity notes on the back. Unctuous malty mouthfeel. Really rich and delicious. Thick and a little bit toasty. The herbal notes kind of pick up as the beer warms. This is an amazing beer.

Bottle. Pours dark brown with a thick beige head. Aromas of caramel, dark fruit and chocolate. Dark, fruity flavors up front--plum, raisin. Then chocolate, coffee, toffee. Finishes with a bit of licorice, coffee, dark chocolate and tart fruit. Substantial booziness. Very complex, fruity and dark. Lively, peppery mouthfeel. This is a good one.

33cl bottle from Sebilinz, many thanks! Rating nr #4000.
Poured dee brown with a thick off white head. Brown sugar aroma, almonds, dried fruits. Flavor has caramelized sugar, yeast, dark bready notes. Long sweet finish with some dried fruity notes. High carbonation. Hides the ABV nicely, hence the sweetness.
