Kleur van donker amber, beige, dichte schuimkraag. Fruitig in de neus en initieel ook fruitig in de mond. Pruim, kandijsuiker. Later meer koffie, geroosterde mouten. Begint zoet, eindigt droger en meer zuur. Zacht, ondanks rijkelijk aanwezig co2. Volle body. Lekker.

33cl bottle at home, with a friend. Dark red gloom coloured dark beer with yellowish beige foam on top. Aromas of forest fruit, sublte scents. Even more subtle coffee taste, but overwhelming red and black fruit mouth with bitter ending. It tastes low in sugar, but has a sweet touch. A lovely medium bodied double. It should benefit through some months/years of additional aging. For sure.

Drink it tepid, not chilled. Pours dark amber, almost black. Aroma is banana, caramel, yeast, chicory, smoked meat, even boiled quail egg. Warm, oily, with metallic notes and sheer sourness. Not very bitter.

Aroma: caramel, toffee, honey, bread malts, some ripe fruits. Appearance: hazy, dark brown, small, creamy, beige head. Taste: medium sweet. Palate: sweets remain, some light bitters coming up, remains very malty, caramel and bread again, some alcohol noticeable, hints of roasted malts, soft carbonation, full body. Overall: love this style, yet this is not quite at the top, does not feel quite as well rounded as some Belgian examples. Bottle from a friend.

0,33 l bottle from drinks-of-the-world.de, bottled on 20/2/2014. Very hazy, dark red with a medium large (gushing), creamy, slowly diminishing, tan head. Very fruity aroma of black and redcurrant, elderberry, raisins, plums and candy sugar. Some fusel as well. Very strong, sweetish taste of black and redcurrant, elderberry and raisins, accompanied by hints of plums and candy sugar. Medium long, slightly bitter but quite peppery, alcoholic finish. Full body, oily and slightly creamy texture, highly carbonated. Very intense beer and definitely not that quaffable, more of a sipper. However, I really like it because of the fruitiness and despite its alcoholic character. Should be worth aging.

Well that was a surprise. Appearance is standard as all those strong beers. Aroma is nice, I think figues or some dried fruit. Surprise comes with a first sip. It is very strong, bitter, the after taste is like burned caramel. Not bad but not what I was expecting. I expected some refinement and this is strong straight forward beer. Gosh!

Molto dolce e alcolica, promossa.

Dark reddish brown colur with no head. Aroma of plums, citrus, fruits. Taste...very forgetable and in comparison with best belgian examples.
