Bottle, bought @ Salling, Aarhus. Deep brown, bordering on black. Firm, creamy off-white head. Aroma has plums, chocolate, quite nutty, some peanut, soft cocoa, mild spicy. Medium carbonation, fine creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has caramel, sugar, soft viniousness, plums, quite a bit of chocolate. Over ripe red apples. Light malty bitterness. A very fine first attempt.

Foam: small creamy beige, not long lasting, no lingering. Colour: hazy little opaque dark brown. Aroma: caramel malts, dried sweet fruits, banana, a hints of vanilla, mocha and yeast. Taste: roasted malt, caramel, quite bitter on palate, milk chocolate, coffee, brown sugar, bread, medium to low carbonation, medium body, interesting and good Trappist beer from Austria worth to taste, but not as good as for example Orval or St. Bernardus Abt 12 and it costs two times more, at least here in Belgium.

Corpo pieno, poco carbonata. Retrolfatto di toffee. In ogni caso bella bevuta.

Bottle, BBD 13.1.2017, alc. 10,5% ABV. Aroma lots of honey, toffeeish caramel, dried fruits. Also prominent alcohol. Dark brown colour, some sediment, but it is possible to pour it clean if you want. Beige head, quite stable. After tasting there is no doubt left - this is the first commercially available braggot that I have been able to taste :) Thin body which comes from heavy use of honey that ferments completely. Also lots of honey flavour, bearing strong familiarity with my own braggot that I made from forest honey. However in this beer there is a slightly too alcoholic warming finish. Not exactly unpleasant, rather underlining that this beer is a sipper. Dry fruits and also caramel in flavour, but this one is mostly about the honey. Good braggot.

(Bottle 0.33 l/ half of bottle) Trade with Werckmeister. Thanks Stefan! Brown, cloudy colour. Brown small, stable head. Full body, syrupy, sticky texture, medium carbonation. Aroma: Caramel, prunes, blackberry, dark fruits, soft dark chocolate, slightly yeasty, medium strong alcohol. Taste: Medium sweet, caramel, medium strong, warming alcohol. Decent, very strong beer with medium strong alcohol notes.

Bottle, many thanks to Werckmeister.
