Oct 15, 2007 on tap-pours a retaining thin off white head that laces and amber/copper color. Aroma is medium malt-very sweet, fruity. Taste is very malty-very sweet, fruity-apple/plum, some alcohol. Smooth. Occasional.

Apr 23, 2006 Draught @ Brouwer’s Café during Hard Liver 2006: Vibrant amber, very bright, slight copper, thin white head, falls quickly, virtually no lacing or carbonation. Almost seems still. Sickly sweet nose, seems syrupy, phenols, slight pine. Medicinal alcohol on the tongue, sweet, pale malt, more piney than hoppy. Unbalanced, with too much sweetness and alcohol. Fairly thin too. Meh...

Mar 13, 2006 Almost too light. Light and clear ruby appearance and almost no head. Somewhat spicy, with some sweet peach fruitiness, butterscotch and lingering candy presence. If nothing else a good session barleywine.
