Angeloregon (2002), Portland, Oregon, USA Aug 2, 2008 On tap at Engine House #9 in Tacoma, WA--Copper orange pour, murky and par for the course as far as appearance goes. Nose of caramel malt sweetness and mild hoppiness. Unbalanced, sweet, dull mouthfeel. Homebrewy. Not very complex at all. So far these EH9 brews are quite disappointing. Imaena (259), Portland, Maine, USA Jul 1, 2008 Draught @ Brew Pub Tacoma.
Amber pour. Needs more in the hops dept. Alcohol taste in the finish. Would be a decent beer to pair with pub grub though. jcwattsrugger (4045), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Oct 15, 2007 on tap-pours a thin white head and hazy yellow color. Aroma is mild malt. Taste is mild malt, hint of hops. Light body.
dwyerpg (2094), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Jul 31, 2007 Well, there isn’t much to this. Than and almost lagerish in consistency, it has a faint amount of dry hops in the finish. A bit disappointing. TheBeerLover (1013), DC Metro Area, USA Jun 29, 2007 Enjoyed this one on draught at the brewpub in Tacoma, WA. Pours to a bright, deep golden, to light amber color, with a tight, white head that fades, and a moderate carbonation. The nose on this beer is subtle, with some light carmel malt sweetness, and mild, herbal hop aroma. The palate is nice, with some sweet malt, and light fruit on a soft, drinkable palate. This beer finsihes with more sweet/caramel malt up front, then ends with a mild, herbal hop bite that balances. Nice, easy drinking, session beer that would work well with a number of dishes on the menu. Went well with an awesome bowl of their fire house chili.
