On hand-pump at Toronado. Pours opaque blackish brown with a lacy off-white head. Light body, minimal carbonation. Lightly sweet aroma and taste of chocolate, fig, molasses. A little bit of sourness on the finish. Despite the claim of "complex roasted malt flavors" the taste is a bit vacant.

Drank it on cask at the Firkin Festival in Triple Rock Brewery, Berkeley CA. Poured a dark brown color, light bodied, very ashy and smoky. A very light porter.

Poured at the firken fest a dark brown to black with a small tan foam head. The nose is of burnt coffee, with the flavor coming in as a roasty grain with a touch of chocolate and coffee. The finish is mild almost watery with a light sour hop bitterness. The beer was ok, just a bit light for my tastes.
