3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Medium sized light beige to vanilla colored head. Changes slowly into a sticky thicker lacing on top of a deep dark almost black colored beer. When held into the light a ruby shine comes through.
Smell smoked and roasted malts, soap, grains, hair, barleys, tree, bread, bark, hint of dough, hint of rye, hint of dogfood and herbs/leaves.
Taste is nice bitter with some lightly added roasted malts, dough/bread, light smokey, light creamy, brown grains/barleys and a hint of herbal rye.
Afteraste is grainy, barleys, bread, toasted malts, light smokey and light bitter.
Low carbo, soft mouthfeel, medium body (bit thin) and a light watery but more creamy texture.
Decent beer, close to being a bit thin but enough taste to keep it on track.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clear, dark brown with red glow and lasting firm beige head. Aroma is mildly roasted malts with some (milk) chocolate. Roasted malts in this one are just fine, very soft. Taste starts with rather sweet chocolate malts and then switches to a more coffee-like bitterness. Quiet a long aftertaste. Body is low to medium, with a nice soft carbonation. Looking forward to tasting the BA version of this one!
