Cola pour. Nose of light fruity pumpkin, faint spice, and hints of cocoa/roast malt. Flavor is a tangy roasty porter base with light pumpkin. Acidic, tangy finish with a drying, almost oak-like finish. Nice porter, guess the pumpkin adds a bit, but think that this beer could easily stand on its own.

Brown with thick creamy tan head. Vegetal aroma. Taste- sweet malt with cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg, brown sugar and light roasted malt. Mild tasting for such a high ABV. Creamy mouthfeel. Nice Pumpkin ale.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft. Brown body with a short, frothy brown head. Aroma of roasted grain, cocoa. Light hints of nutmeg and all spice. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, velvety texture, lively carbonation. Light alcoholic finish. Lots of pumpkin in this beer (according to the commercial description), but since pumpkin doesnít taste like much at all, the beer doesnít taste much like pumpkin ó nor the spices associated with pumpkin pie. Thatís not bad since so many pumpkin beers are overly spiced. This is under spiced. Hint of alcohol in the finish along with chocolate and coffee bitterness.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from last year. Poured into a tulip at home. Pours a very deep brown with an eggshell head. Some lacing. Aroma is sweet chocolate, some pumpkin or yams, marshmallow, vanilla, and pie spices. The taste really blew me away. (Not a pumpkin beer fan usually.) It was a very velvety chocolate cream with a hint of the pumpkin, yam, marshmallow, vanilla, and pie spices. It was very creamy and lactose based. I thought it was extremely well balanced and flavorful. Full body, moderate carb. Def getting another one of these and aging for one year. Solid job.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pour is a near black with a small tan head. Aroma is sweet but burnt malt with a very subtle pumpkin pie spice. Flavor is some sweet chocolate malt with some vanilla and caramel sugar notes. Pumpkin spice is kind of an after thought as they are overshadowed by the rich porter malts. If you are looking for a intense pumpkin beer this is not the one to look for. This is more a spiced porter with the porter aspect leading the way.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours a dark, translucent brown with red highlights and a creamy, cinnamon head with a lot of lace. Nose is allspice, nutmeg, molasses, fresh pumpkin, black tea, eggs, and graham. Very little dark aromas for a porter. On the palate, itís very much like a spiced coffee on the front of the tongue; a delicious, dry melange of espresso and fall spices shifting into the roundness of fresh pumpkin. This oneís serious; itís not confection or pastry, but more about the real spice and vegetable. Finish is long, molasses-tinged, and slightly heavy. Impressive.

Pours a dark mahogany with a thin, long-lasting off-white head. Aroma is toast/nut, chocolate, pumpkin, nutmeg, allspice. Flavor is roast, toast, chocolate, pumpkin, and nutmeg, among other spices. Has a dry, slightly bitter finish. I really enjoyed this. Every sip yields some new flavor and aroma.

From 22oz bottle to shaker. This is the imperial pumpkin porter. Pour is a black color with a thin beige head. Nose is pumpkin, cinnamon, malt, nutmeg, coffee. Taste is mostly sweet, medium body. Lively finish on the palate. Not bad just lacking some depth.
