COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed on: October 10, 2011. Packaged on October 25, 2011. Our first ever collaborative beer has all the familiar flavors of the season, but done with Epic style. To a base of strong, roasty, and chocolaty porter, we add 200 pounds of real pumpkin per batch, five spice and whole Madagascar vanilla beans. As you pour this deeply ruby brown beer, youíre greeted by the aroma of fresh cut squash, followed by rich chocolate. The flavor starts sweet with marshmallow, vanilla, and some pumpkin pie, then yields to a coffee roast and dark chocolate dryness. This beer is a great introduction for curious drinkers and a special holiday treat for fans of the style.

22 oz. One of the better pumpkin beers Iíve had. Nice balance between a classic porter with the spices and pumpkin flavor.

2013-08-17. Aroma of dusty malt, spice, and nutty touches. 7+ Flavour has sweet malt core, light spice, and nutty touches as in the aroma. Not getting much in the way of pumpkin character, but I quite enjoy the spice quality. 7+ Average bodied palate, soft carbonation. Campground Brewdown.

On tap at Hops and Pie poured a clear reddish brown with a small lingering tan head. Aromas of roated malt, carmel, cinnamon, cocoa and light clove. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of roasted malt, carmel, cinnamon, cocoa, pumpkin and light clove with a smooth lingering spiced cocoa finish.

Very small tan head into a black beer with ruby tinges. Smell is very nice, buttered pumpkin, cinnamon/spice cake, vanilla. Slight booziness. Taste is lots of woodiness and vanilla. Burnt wood reminds me of coffee. Much drier than smell, and a little booze on the tongue. Very nice.

22. Pours jet black with a dense and creamy tan head that lasts and lasts, showing plenty of lace. Bright nose of pie spice and toasty chocolate malt. Creamy thick body with soft carb. Chocolate, roast, and pie spice on the mid palate, beautifully integrated. Long sweet finish. Great beer.

UPDATED: OCT 23, 2013 Dark and smooth, packing a warming pumpkin punch. Full aroma and flavor, perfect on a chilly fall night. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Black with a tan creamy head. Not much aroma but taste is smooth. Excellent flavors such as vanilla and a slight pumpkin. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Great creamy vanilla aroma, full bodied, rich dark flavor. Pumpkin and vanilla notes are unfortunately overwhelmed by maltiness. Carbonation is also slightly overpowering. Better as it warms to room temp.

Poured from 22oz bottle into a glass that cost more than your car. Look, this is not bad! I usually stay away from anything pumpkin, but I have to concede this is pretty good stuff. Pumpkin flavor is a nice compliment to some herbal and malty tones. Value wise: excellent! Would consider picking up another bottle, but a brew more appropriate for autumn and not the hot ass days of summer. Release #10
