COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed on: October 10, 2011. Packaged on October 25, 2011. Our first ever collaborative beer has all the familiar flavors of the season, but done with Epic style. To a base of strong, roasty, and chocolaty porter, we add 200 pounds of real pumpkin per batch, five spice and whole Madagascar vanilla beans. As you pour this deeply ruby brown beer, you’re greeted by the aroma of fresh cut squash, followed by rich chocolate. The flavor starts sweet with marshmallow, vanilla, and some pumpkin pie, then yields to a coffee roast and dark chocolate dryness. This beer is a great introduction for curious drinkers and a special holiday treat for fans of the style.

Bottle - pours dark brown with small but thick tan head. Nose is highly syrupy, molasses, malt, and caramel. Very smooth, frothy mouthfeel. Taste is of sweet molasses, caramel, plum, and figs. Has somewhat of a smoky finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tasted on tap. Pours black with tan head. Good lacing. Aroma is roasted chocolate with some spices. Taste starts of with spices and vanilla and ends with roasted chocolate. Creamy full bodied and really sits on palate. Tastes like the bastard child of a vanilla porter and pumpkin beer with more porter than pumpkin. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nice boozy, oaky aroma. Color is black and though it's not opaque, it doesn't let much light through. Flavor is of rich coffee, some vegetal notes, trailing off into a bourbonesque after taste. Quite nice! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22floz/650ml bottle into a shaker glass. Served cool. Aroma: Milk chocolate and toasty malt backed up by a huge punch of spice and some faint pumpkin. Quite strong! Appearance: Barely translucent dark blood-ruby body with a massive, creamy, tan head. Taste: Oh wow that is fantastic.Starts off nice and creamy with the spice and pumpkin and rounds off with that chocolate and malt. Fantastic! Palate: Feels really creamy. Finish is nice and spicy pumpkin with that wonderful chocolate. Overall: This may be a new favorite. It is absolutely fantastic.

22 oz. One of the better pumpkin beers I’ve had. Nice balance between a classic porter with the spices and pumpkin flavor.

2013-08-17. Aroma of dusty malt, spice, and nutty touches. 7+ Flavour has sweet malt core, light spice, and nutty touches as in the aroma. Not getting much in the way of pumpkin character, but I quite enjoy the spice quality. 7+ Average bodied palate, soft carbonation. Campground Brewdown.

On tap at Hops and Pie poured a clear reddish brown with a small lingering tan head. Aromas of roated malt, carmel, cinnamon, cocoa and light clove. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of roasted malt, carmel, cinnamon, cocoa, pumpkin and light clove with a smooth lingering spiced cocoa finish.
