2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 MBrausen (69) - Minnesota, USA - FEB 1, 2012Reviewed from notes.
A. Pours a dark brown orange, 1 finger thick head, great lacing and rests at a 1mm head
S. Mild to no smell, pumpkin and a hint of light chocolate.
T. Tastes of sweet pumpkin, lots of orange and a hint of spices, but not too much.
M. Medium body, high carbonation, mildly chewy and coarse.
O. A pretty decent beer, but could use a more over the top pumpkin flavor. It was very blended and more simple than what you normally get from Epic.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 DiarmaidBHK (2387) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 2, 2013
Bottle from total wine sterling. Pours black with a very thin khaki head. Nice pumpkin and spice sensations on the nose. Bigger pumpkin on the tongue. Not getting a ton of the roast but there’s only a slight alcohol burn on the finish. Solid for style.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 mikey (503) - farmington, Utah, USA - MAY 20, 2013
Pours an extremely dark brown color with a small tan head. The nose is huge with pumpkin, squash, ginger, cinnamon, chocolate, roasted malt, clove and caramel. The taste of big with chocolate, roasted malt, pumpkin, caramel, cinnamon, ginger, light coffee, clove, and spices. Fair amount of bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of pumpkin, chocolate, caramel, roasted malt, clove, and spices on the finish for a bit. Medium carbonation and body; with a nice creamy mouthfeel that drinks easily for 7.5%. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming after the finish. Great balance of flavors and bitterness. Overall this is an excellent pumpkin spiced porter.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 mikedR (408) - Gilbert, Arizona, USA - MAY 15, 2013
Quite good but nut spectacular. Very nice pumpkin spice aroma. Good porter base, and good pumpkin taste. But maybe just a hair too dry and roasty. If they dialed in a bit of malty sweetness this would be a home run. That said, very enjoyable!

February 2012. 22 oz. bottle. Pours almost black with a small tan head. The pumpkin is really showing through and adds a nice balance to the dark malts and chocolate flavors. Great beer!
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 TheBear11D (61) - Michigan, USA - MAR 2, 2013
The imperial pumpkin porter pours a deep amber almost purple with a thin light brown head. The aroma is pumpkin, spice and toast. The flavor roasted malts, pumpkin and spice. Overall the beer is good but not worth the price tag.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Onenote81 (1002) - Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA - FEB 27, 2013
Opened this bottle with a friend on Thanksgiving. Poured into a pint glass. Pours a dark brown with a small beige head. The aroma is pumpkin, bread, vanilla, and fresh cookies. Moderate carbonation bolsters this beer, but there’s some slickness to it that detracts from it a bit. Finishes with a little snap of bubbles. Good flavor profile with obvious pumpkin, though it’s not as bold as some in the style. It melds well with vanilla sweetness, milk chocolate, light coffee. Well-rounded flavors that aren’t pronounced in any one area. A pleasant bounty of holiday flavors. A good pumpkin beer, that isn’t a one-trick pony. A nice Thanksgiving treat.

Bottle poured into glass. Love pumpkin beers but this one was past it’s prime. Has a nice spice/nutmeg thing going on but the pumpkin flavor has died off. Wanted to like it but just wished there was more pumpkin in there.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 hayduke (2963) - Eureka, California, USA - JAN 23, 2013
This was a joint tasting with Strykzone via Facebook Chat. This brew poured a very dark brown with an attractive and long lasting tan head and good lacing rings. The nose shows the pumpkin for sure, but there is more with roasted malts and spices in the aroma. Medium to bold in body with a smooth creamy mouthfeel. The flavor is very rich and complex with the porter dominating unlike a lot of pumpkin beers and chocolate, coffee, vanilla, spices, and the finish is lingering and simply perfect.. I like the way the alcohol was hidden This is an outstanding beer.

Bomber from Hayduke. We shared it together via facebook chat. This pours dark brown and sports a large beige head that has strong retention. The nose is pumpkin centered and is like a pumpkin pie. The flavor offers more of the porter. It brings chocolate over the top of the pumpkin. Some hops add spice and bitterness. Vanilla is nice here. This could be a pumpkin pie / chocolate pie mix with some hops and vanilla. Some fudge in the finish. This beer might be the best collaboration I have ever had. Just a solid beer.

Bomber. Brown light beige head. Nice pumpkin spice with a bit of nutmeg, bit of vegetable, some malt, brown sugar. Moderate body and carbonation, not too sweet, malty and pumpkin, becomes dry.
