A surprisingly great beer from Utah. Loved the coffee notes and the thin mouthfeel, though not as creamy as I normally like. Overall a good one!

Tap at taphouse grill in Seattle with commonmac and rosskyle. Nearly black with very thick foamy head. Smells like a malty stout. Sweet and malty. Extremely smooth and creamy. Like a meal that’s very soft on the palate. Clean finish. Quite good.

Dark reddish brown colour with a small light tan head. Sweet chocolate, dryish malt, molasses and some vanilla in the aroma. The flavour is toasted malt, chocolate, mild hoppy bitterness and sweetness. Balanced.

Yikes! Expected so much more based on other Epic beers. Aroma of coffee, dark brown color with a short lasting tan head. Watery feel, light bodied beer with a coffee taste and a very light bodied coffee finish.

Poured from a bottle. Very short head. No lacing. Honestly, "watery" is the way I’d describe this beer.

On nitro tap at the Denver brewery. Black appearance with a light tan head and sticky lacing. Aroma of chocolate, dark malts, roast, nuts and light coffee. Similar flavor, dark and malty with mild sweetness. Pretty light body for a stout, with soft carbonation and a smooth, creamy finish.

Bottle at Craft Cafe Imazato. Thin, strained, waterer-down cocoa nose. Translucent brown color. Thin chocolate, light cola, mild sweet roast, and fades into a light bitterness in final. Thin, watery body. Mild, somewhat pleasant, unexceptional.
