Release #54, 6% ABV. Pours thin but very dark, the head dissipates very quickly. Aroma is baker’s chocolate and a little coffee, faint, piney hops. More baker’s chocolate on the flavor, a little bit of mint, a little bit of caramel. Slightly watery finish. Not bad.

Tap at taphouse grill in Seattle with commonmac and rosskyle. Nearly black with very thick foamy head. Smells like a malty stout. Sweet and malty. Extremely smooth and creamy. Like a meal that’s very soft on the palate. Clean finish. Quite good.

Yikes! Expected so much more based on other Epic beers. Aroma of coffee, dark brown color with a short lasting tan head. Watery feel, light bodied beer with a coffee taste and a very light bodied coffee finish.

Poured from a bottle. Very short head. No lacing. Honestly, "watery" is the way I’d describe this beer.

On nitro tap at the Denver brewery. Black appearance with a light tan head and sticky lacing. Aroma of chocolate, dark malts, roast, nuts and light coffee. Similar flavor, dark and malty with mild sweetness. Pretty light body for a stout, with soft carbonation and a smooth, creamy finish.
