3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle - Batch 2 from 2012 - Lemon, grapes and grains with some grassy hops. Effervescent pale gold with a bubbly head. Sour right of the bat, that fades nicely and leaves a very clean finish. Salty and a slight bit acidic but I could see drinking this on a hot day on a patio with food. Slight fruits in the sourness especially nectarine. Very nice.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Crystal clear golden coloured body with the slightest orange tint and a thinish, one centimetre tall pale white head. Aroma of sour grapes, malt, light earth and metal, a bit of soap and some very pale sugars and fruit - not much in the nose here. Light-bodied; Soapy, pungent flavour with a bit of a sour fruity flavour with a hint of lemons and an earthy, funky flavour that comes from the malt. Aftertaste shows some good complexity, but all revolving around the light sour notes, the super light body - hardly any malt at all in here it seems, with a tiny bit of fruit and some sweetness at the tail end. Overall, a nice and interesting beer with some sour flavours, but a very light and refreshing beer if nothing else, but the sour notes show well, just an odd mix and not concise enough. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Pear Delicatessen in Seattle, Washington on 11-February-2013 for US$5.10 sampled at home in [the real] Washington on the other end of the country, on 16-June-2013 in celebration of my first Fatherís Day.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the brewery. The brewer described this as a Berliner Weiss. Pours a lightly hazed, pale golden-yellow colored body with a finger-width, frothy, white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is lightly tart with a nice fruitiness giving off a bit of a lemon. Clean and a bit musty with some earth and a light wheat. Similar flavor. Somewhat tart up front with a nice lemon note, slight musty earth, and thin wheat. Clean, light tartness and fruitiness in the finish before leaving a medium length aftertaste. Thin body and a light carbonation. Overall, a solid Berliner Weiss. Lightly tart and fruity with a clean, refreshing finish. Nice beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle:   Straw, a little dirty, sediment on the bottom, moderate white frothy head, little lacing.   Tart musty nose, very musty, also has a bit of an earthy aspect to it.   As it warms the earthy aspect becomes distinctly soily.   On the tongue its dry up front, tart, wheaty, a bit lemony, and thankfully not as earthy/soily on the tongue.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Dryness lasts through to the finish.   Clean on the exit.   I liked this better than I thought I would.   Musty, tart, dry, all the aspects I would want in a Gose.   I could do without the soily/earthy aspects on the nose, but luckily they dont really translate to the tongue.   Better than I expected!

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Strong gusher. Pours dishwater gold with a huge, transient white head. Tart aroma. Flavor: Earthy. Lemony. Tart and tart. Seems to be very like a Berliner Weisse.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle shared by bhensonb. Watch out. This one is a gusher! Pours funky golden wieth a disappearing off-white head and a sour fruity aroma. There is a very tart lemon flavor . This traditional ale turned into a sour ale. Nevertheless it is a nice brew.
